Conferences & Seminars: Third Arab Media Forum to be Held in Cairo
More than 500 journalists, academics and officials will discuss the role of Arab media in development of Arab societies during the third Arab Media Forum to be hosted by Al Ahram newspaper in Cairo on 22-23 April under the theme: 'A Developed Media Vision'.
The forum will discuss topics such as the media's role in reform, the influence of media on public opinion and decision makers, the role of governments in media, funding the media, and covering terrorism. Several Arab Information Ministers are expected to attend the event.
The Forum, organized by the Kuwaiti Council of Ministers, will take place outside Kuwait for the first time. It was created with the aim of strengthening Arab media and developing strategies to combat hostile views of the Arab world.
