Training Opportunities:
One-week Training on Economics for Journalists in Prague

Arab journalists are encouraged to apply for a one-week seminar to study the basic structure and functions of market economics to be held at the European Journalism Institute in Prague, Czech Republic, in 22-29 July.

The seminar is organized by The Fund for American Studies and will be held in conjunction with the American Institute on Political and Economic Studies.

Journalists willing to participate must submit an online application form available at http://www.tfasinternational.org/eji/admissions/index.asp along with a letter of recommendation, a CV, a statement of purpose with the reasons to apply and a proof of English proficiency (a letter from an English teacher can be accepted).

Admitted participants will receive a scholarship covering 2 meals per day, lodging, reading materials and special events during the week. Travel costs, lunches and personal expenses must be paid by participants. Each of them will be required to pay a USD 200 tuition fee.

Content of the seminar will be divided in economics and journalistic topics. Lectures will be drawn from the United States and Europe and will include economics experts and journalists covering business and finance. The seminar will have theoretical and practical sides.
