Image Library Covering the Middle East

Global demand for high quality images of the Middle East has contributed to the creation of a new on-line service based in the UAE, reported strategiy.com.

www.arabianEye.com has recently established itself in Dubai with the aim of providing high quality imagery, shot by international and local photographers who transcend Middle Eastern stereotypes and offer intelligent, informative imagery.

“The eyes of the world are very much focused on this region,” said Managing Director, Celia Peterson. “From developments in Iraq through to the UAE’s property boom, all kinds of agencies are increasingly hungry for high quality and, more importantly, unique imagery.

“We have a stock library covering all Middle Eastern countries,” she says, “with images taken by a range of award-winning photographers whose titles include American Photographer of the Year, Middle East Photographer of the Year, First Award Al Thani landscape, Travel Photographer of the Year, Fifty Crows Foundation grant for issues-based imagery, as well as numerous World Press Awards.

Peterson says that the local advertising industry which is growing in sophistication and creativity and as such is another ready market for the library.
