Fellowships:
Six American Universities to Bring 100 Journalists for Study and Training

The launch of the Edward R. Murrow Journalism Fellows Program was announced by the US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. The program will bring 100 journalists from around the world to the USA for study and training.

The program is a result of shared efforts between the State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Colorado-based Aspen Institute, and the universities of Kentucky, Minnesota, North Carolina (Chapel Hill), Oklahoma, Southern California and Texas (Austin).

Selected journalists will spend three weeks at the host university on April 2006 and attend a journalism symposium in Washington D.C.
